Lyra International Technology’s (LIT) team is looking for a Junior UI/UX Designer that is passionate about growing a family of digital products in the healthcare space. The role is full time, reporting into the Senior Product Designer and is based in the head office in London (with some remote working).
This is an opportunity to join a team with development of products spanning the globe, working in one of the most relevant and important sectors – digital mental health. The role is ideal for a candidate with 2-3 years of experience who can juggle demanding deadlines across multiple products. Lyra International is a global provider of digital mental health and employee assistance services to over 6.5m people in 145 countries. Lyra International Technology continuously builds technology to enhance existing services and create new product lines.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the Senior Product Designer, you will ensure that the user and business needs are met across the products. This will require:
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and content teams to translate requirements into user-friendly designs
- Assist in creating wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes using Figma
- Contribute to user research and usability testing
- Help maintain and develop our design system and component libraries
- Adapt existing designs for localisation and accessibility standards
- Support in iterating on feedback and implementing design improvements
- Stay up-to-date with UX trends, accessibility best practices, and modern design systems
- Working across web and mobile products and platforms
- Participating on all sprints, updating tickets and acceptance criteria
- Testing and reviewing products for bugs
- You will be working to meet the following objectives:
- User focus: being the voice of the user at all times, understanding that your users may be internal, external, or both
- Prioritisation: identifying must-haves versus nice-to-haves and prioritising accordingly.
- Lifecycle understanding: testing and reviewing development tickets and bugs and maintaining a positive and consistent product experience.
- UX and UI principles: promoting best-in-class web and mobile UX and U, including accessibility and screen-readers.
- Collaboration and communication: working well across all teams to support the product vision, position, and direction.
- Company objectives: ensuring the products sit well within the Lyra Wellbeing product offering, working to strict company roadmaps, and delivering B2B, B2B, and B2B2C products.
- As a junior role, there will be opportunities for learning and professional development to build out your experience in any of the above.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years’ experience in a digital product team or UX/UI design role
- Solid working knowledge of Figma and design tools
- An understanding of UX principles, accessibility, and responsive design
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to iterate
- Proficiency working across different platforms, including Web, Android, and iOS
- Familiarity with Atlassian Jira, Confluence product management suite
- Familiarity with localisation, accessibility and screen-readers, and multi-language design considerations
