Role Overview
The Lead Psychometrist plays a key leadership role within Lyra's neuropsychological services team, ensuring the consistent, high-quality administration and scoring of virtual assessments for children, teens, and young adults. Reporting to the Manager of Neuropsychology, the Lead Psychometrist provides direct oversight and support to the psychometrist team, maintains testing fidelity, and contributes to training, operations, and quality improvement efforts. This role bridges clinical and operational functions - supporting both psychometrists and licensed psychologists—to ensure assessments are delivered efficiently, ethically, and accurately in a high-volume virtual care environment.

Responsibilities

    • Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, and support for a team of psychometrists.
    • Works closely with onboarding and training team for new psychometrists and delivers ongoing coaching to ensure consistent application of standardized testing procedures.
    • Monitor caseloads and test coverage to support operational efficiency and member needs.
    • Administer and score a wide range of psychological and neuropsychological assessments under the supervision of licensed psychologists and neuropsychologists.
    • Ensure all testing is conducted in alignment with professional standards, standardized protocols, and cultural sensitivity.
    • Identify and flag score discrepancies, behavioral observations, or clinical concerns for psychologist follow-up.
    • Conduct periodic reviews of test administration and scoring accuracy; provide feedback to psychometrists to support skill development.
    • Assist in the development and maintenance of SOPs for virtual testing workflows.
    • Contribute to improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, accuracy, and team alignment.
    • Work closely with the Manager and Director of Neuropsychology and clinical leadership to manage escalations, streamline workflows, and maintain testing quality.
    • Coordinate with Client Operations and other departments to ensure a seamless testing experience for members and caregivers.

Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in Psychology, Educational Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
    • 2+ years of experience in psychological or neuropsychological test administration, preferably with pediatric populations.
    • Experience in a leadership or mentorship role is preferred.
    • Familiarity with virtual care and telehealth environments is strongly preferred.
    • Deep understanding of test administration and scoring procedures, with high attention to detail.
    • Ability to train, support, and guide a team in delivering consistent, high-quality work.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across clinical and operational teams.
    • Demonstrates reliability, independence, and ownership over tasks and outcomes.
    • Comfortable adapting to changing needs and solving challenges in a dynamic, remote setting.
$70,000 - $70,000 a year
The anticipated starting base salary for a full-time Lead Psychometrist is $70,000 annually. The base salary is determined by role and placement within the range, and will depend on a number of job-related factors, including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, and location.
