About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate, organized, and results-driven Lead Behavioral Care Manager (BCM) to join our growing clinical leadership team. This role is a critical part of our mission to deliver high-quality, accessible behavioral health care to children, adolescents, and their families.

As a BCM Team Lead, you will directly oversee a team of Behavioral Care Managers responsible for supporting members through their care journey.  You’ll play a key role in building and refining the infrastructure that supports this team — ensuring that our model is not only effective but scalable and sustainable as we grow.

This role is ideal for a clinical leader who thrives at the intersection of care delivery and operations — someone who can guide a team with empathy, develop clear performance metrics, identify process improvements, and partner cross-functionally to elevate the quality and consistency of care. You will also maintain a limited caseload to remain grounded in the member experience and continuously assess the effectiveness of the care delivery model.

The Lead BCM is instrumental in ensuring exceptional member outcomes, provider satisfaction, and operational excellence. You will work closely with leadership and across clinical disciplines to ensure we are delivering compassionate, coordinated care that aligns with our company’s mission and standards.

Responsibilities:

    • Directly manage and lead Behavioral Care Managers
    • Develop processes and infrastructure for the BCM team, with an aim to improve member satisfaction and provider satisfaction and scale effectively and efficiently.
    • Monitor team KPIs and a clear framework to measure success and accountability.
    • Manage caseload and conduct evaluations on a weekly basis, enabling understanding of where the process needs improvement.
    • Participate in training on our proprietary curriculum and collaborative care model.
    • Practice evidence-based techniques to motivate, guide, and help our clients meet their goals successfully.
    • Lead 1:1 meetings with direct reports.
    • Partner closely with others in our clinical team, including psychiatric providers, therapists, nurses, and behavioral care managers.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Core Competencies

    • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and the treatment team.
    • Empathy and Compassion: Ability to connect with and support children and adolescents experiencing behavioral health challenges.
    • Cultural Competence: Awareness and sensitivity to diverse cultural backgrounds and experiences.
    • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop and manage the care of members and their families
    • Team Collaboration: Ability to lead collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
    • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to each client's unique needs and respond to changing circumstances.
    • Professionalism: Maintaining high professionalism and ethical behavior in all interactions.

Who You Are:

    • Bachelor's in a social work or psychology-related field (unlicensed)
    • 3+ years of professional experience working in behavioral health or Health Systems
    • Leadership experience (professional and volunteer)
    • Experience training or facilitating practitioner groups
    • Experience working in a Collaborative Care Model preferred
    • Master's Degree in Social Work or related field (unlicensed) preferred
    • Ability to work autonomously as well as with a team
    • Tech-savvy and experienced in care management
    • Ability to work collaboratively with a growth mindset
    • Strong organizational skills and excited about a dynamic work environment
    • Warm and engaging interaction style
    • Passionate about helping kids and teens achieve goals
    • Love to help others and desire to make a difference
