As the Director of Benefits and Wellbeing, you will be a key player in our collaborative and dynamic environment. Reporting to the VP of Total Rewards, you will lead the Benefits & Wellbeing Team and serve as the global subject matter expert (SME). This role will allow you to provide strategic leadership on our global benefits programs, oversee the team's day-to-day activities, and manage annual programs such as open enrollment. We are looking for an experienced benefits leader ready to provide vision and direction around strategic benefits program delivery in our fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

    • Strategically lead the global benefits function to effectively design, implement, administer, and manage our benefits and well-being strategy, philosophy, programs, and policies
    • Oversee the global benefits budget while ensuring programs are cost-effective, sustainable, market-relevant, and meet the needs of our employees
    • Manage relationships and service levels of third-party consultants, brokers, and vendors
    • Keep current on regulations and new legislation; ensure all programs and policies are legally compliant; and oversee audits and required filings
    • Conduct market reviews to ensure external competitiveness and internal effectiveness and present findings and recommendations to senior leadership
    • Build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including HR, finance, legal, and operations, to ensure alignment and support for benefits and wellbeing initiatives
    • Provide consultative advice to leaders and HR business partners on benefits strategy and policy
    • Lead the benefits renewals and open enrollment processes, evaluating and recommending changes to partners, plan design, and costing as needed
    • Foster a culture of wellbeing by promoting awareness and engagement through various communication channels and initiatives
    • Communicate complex benefits information in a simple manner to employees and managers
    • Provides mentorship and training staff to maximize utilization of workforce and accommodate changing business requirements

Qualifications

    • 8+ years in designing and managing global employee benefit programs, with 5+ years developing and executing strategy
    • 3+ years experience with well-being program development and deployment
    • Experience with utilizing global benefits benchmarking and market practices for the improvement and implementation of programs
    • Desire to grow and build a global benefits infrastructure
    • Empathy, cultural sensitivity, high emotional intelligence
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Effective project management skills
    • Ability to analyze data, apply critical and creative thinking to draw conclusions and develop solutions
    • Exceptional attention to detail and trustworthiness in handling confidential information
    • Working knowledge of Workday
$150,000 - $229,000 a year
Pay and Benefits
The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time Director, Benefits and Wellbeing position is $150,000-$229,000. The base range is determined by role and level, and placement within the range will depend on a number of job-related factors, including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience and location.

At Lyra, base salary is only one aspect of an employee’s total compensation package, which additionally may include discretionary restricted stock unit awards, comprehensive medical and dental coverage, and retirement benefits. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
