The Role
We are currently recruiting a Summer Associate for our Portfolio Operations team. In this role, you will work hand-in-hand with portfolio company executives and our team of seasoned growth-stage operators, and M33 investors to plan and execute value-creation initiatives. The areas in which we focus these initiatives includes: Go-to-Market, Talent, M&A, and Finance. This opportunity is open to candidates who will be completing their first year of business school at the time the internship begins.

Successful Summer Associates may be extended the opportunity to join M33 or one of our portfolio companies post-graduation. We have a proven track record of developing Senior Associates into senior Portfolio Operations leaders and growth-stage executives.

Key responsibilities

    • Designing and implementing department-level KPIs and reporting
    • Collaborating with portfolio executives to drive strategic sales and marketing initiatives (buyer persona mapping, sales process development, CRM and marketing automation best practices, competitive battlecards, pricing, etc.)
    • Managing recruiters and contributing to interview processes for key portfolio company C- and VP level hires
    • Management of third-party partners to accelerate value creation initiatives
    • In partnership with the M33 deal team, prioritizing adjacencies for acquisition targeting and integrating acquisitions made
    • Building portfolio-level resources and processes to help M33 amplify and add efficiency to its portfolio operations efforts

Profile

    • Impeccable work ethic and integrity
    • At least 3 years of work experience that includes investing, investment banking, management consulting, or operating roles in sales, business development, or strategy

    • Nose for value: Independently identifies and pursues areas of opportunity for value creation
    • Foundation in our language: Fluent in Excel, finance, data, SaaS business models
What To Expect
Our ten-to-twelve-week program includes orientation, access to all of the M33 team, and custom programming created to provide you with a comprehensive overview of the growth equity business. You'll work onsite with our experienced team making real contributions to top priority initiatives.
