mPower is a woman-owned small business looking for a well-rounded Functional Analyst to provide technical IT support, cybersecurity oversight, and resource management services within a government command environment. The role includes responsibilities related to system security, technical support for the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), and administrative coordination of IT resources and infrastructure. This position works closely with military personnel, government civilians, and contractors across various departments and remote units.
Job Responsibilities:
Cybersecurity & Information Assurance (IA)
Serve as an Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level I.
Monitor and respond to potential security incidents, applying appropriate mitigation actions.
Assist with maintaining system Authorization to Operate (ATO) via DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Support end-users with cybersecurity issues on operating systems, software, and hardware.
Conduct regular vulnerability scans, apply patches, and system updates.
Perform compliance checks based on DoD security guidelines.
Assist in the development and enforcement of IT security protocols.
IT Technical Support (NMCI & Flank Speed)
Act as a Customer Technical Representative (ACTR) for managing NMCI user accounts and permissions.
Initiate and track Move, Add, Change (MAC) requests.
Assist users with technical support and troubleshoot general computing issues.
Maintain digital asset inventories and user location tracking.
Train users on policies and technical procedures related to NMCI and Flank Speed systems.
Resource Management
Coordinate acquisition, setup, maintenance, and disposal of IT peripherals and communications equipment.
Manage training network (TRANET) hardware across multiple sites.
Support video teleconference (VTC) systems and provide technical troubleshooting as needed.
Assist with technical and administrative aspects of Flank Speed platform support.
Required Qualifications:
Associate degree in information technology or related field and 2 years of relevant experience, OR a minimum of 4 years of hands-on IT and cybersecurity experience without a degree.
Ability to obtain:
Security+ Certification
Windows 10 or Windows Server 2016+ Computing Environment Certification
Must maintain required certifications and complete ongoing sustainment training.
Proficiency in applying IA principles and troubleshooting cybersecurity issues.
Experience supporting end users in Windows-based computing environments.
Understanding of DoD cybersecurity policies and risk frameworks.
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with IT service management platforms such as NET and eMarketplace.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with diverse user groups.
Additional Requirements:
Valid U.S. driver’s license.
U.S. citizenship is required due to government system access.
Ability to travel locally as needed for technical support and equipment coordination.

$113,300 - $124,500 a year
