About the Role:
Madison Logic is looking to add an experienced Platform Engineer as a founder member of our new Platform Engineering Team.

The Platform Engineer will work with our cross functional Product Teams across a wide range of areas. They will develop our DevX experience so our code pipelines build and deploy efficiently and safely. They will create the building blocks allowing our engineers to monitor their applications performance, security and costs.

The ideal candidate will know the value a well thought out and orchestrated golden path. They will be aware of developments in the wider Platform Engineering and DevOps community and understand how to advance the overall platform.

Their goal is to create a premium DevX experience enabling our Product Teams to scale and deliver the ambitious roadmap at Madison Logic.

Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrate and champion a high performance DevX culture and practices, exerting technical influence throughout your team and the wider company.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional Product teams to align deployment pipelines with organisational goals.
    • Contribute to a culture where automation, tooling and documentation is the norm
    • Deploy and manage containerised applications onto our AWS Lambda and AWS Fargate serverless stack.
    • Integrate system monitoring and security best practices throughout the SDLC.

Basic Qualifications:

    • Professional experience with at least two of the following programming languages -NodeJS, Golang, Python, Java
    • Experience with IAAC tools including Cloud Formation and/or Terraform
    • Strong understanding of Observability frameworks and providers, particularly Open Telemetry and Datadog.
    • Strong understanding of security best practices effecting the SDLC.
    • Experience with Gitlab.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication skills being able to explain complex platform concepts to both engineers and business users.

Expected Compensation: (Dependent upon Experience)
Base Salary: £55,000 - £70,000
Additional Compensation (Annual Discretionary Bonus): £0 - £4,000
