Reporting to the VP of Total Rewards, the Senior Director of Benefits is the key architect of our employee Total Well-being programs. The successful candidate will build a Fit for Purpose benefits posture in support of the organization’s culture.

Job Description:
 
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Director of Benefits to join our dynamic team. In this key specialist role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our employee benefits programs. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of benefits administration, regulatory compliance, and a proven track record of enhancing overall employee well-being.
 
Responsibilities:
 
 Develop and implement comprehensive benefits strategies aligned with organizational goals
 
Oversee the administration of health and welfare plans, defined contribution programs, and other employee benefits
 
Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, keeping abreast of industry trends and best practices
 
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance employee experience and satisfaction through benefits offerings
 
Manage relationships with benefit providers, negotiating contracts and evaluating vendor performance
 
Lead communication and education initiatives to ensure employees understand and appreciate their benefits package
 
Analyze and interpret benefits data, providing insights to support decision-making and cost containment strategies; making a proposal to senior leader influence their final decision
 
Stay informed about legislative changes impacting benefits and recommend adjustments as needed
 
Work closely with HR to address employee inquiries, resolve issues, and facilitate benefits-related training
 
Basic Qualifications:
 
Bachelor's degree

Proven experience 8 years in benefits administration, with a focus on strategy development and implementation
 
In-depth knowledge of employee benefits regulations, compliance, and reporting requirements
 
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations
 
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach
 
Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams
 
Experience in building or supporting a biotech or pharmaceutical Commercial organization required
 
Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy, and conciseness
 
Proficient in benefits administration software and Microsoft Office Suite
 
Desired Qualifications:
 
Master’s degree or relevant certifications a plus
 
12 Years experience
 
Effective presentation skills to executive leadership delivering a compelling proposition
