Position Summary:
 
The Associate Director/Director – Thought Leader Engagement, Speakers Bureau & Conventions will be a critical member on the U.S. Marketing team and Commercial team at Madrigal focused on building and executing a robust go-to market plan for HCPs & key customers. This is a truly unique opportunity to shape a nascent but dynamic NASH (nonalcoholic steatohepatitis) marketplace in preparation for a potential first-to-market therapeutic with blockbuster aspirations.
 
In partnership with the Senior Brand Director, this individual will champion KOL/TL engagement and promotional peer-to-peer education efforts to support the US commercial launch of resmetirom, including continued growth. Specifically, this role will be responsible and accountable for workstreams related to (but not limited to) speakers bureau and programming, conventions, advisory boards, sponsorships, peer-to-peer education initiatives, and other tactical efforts.
 
This marketing leader will be required and empowered to help shape brand strategy, build effective tactical plans, create actionable project plans, manage budgets and timelines effectively, and deliver high-impact fit-for-purpose solutions that are supported by leadership and cross-functional partners.

Job Requirements:
 
Execute and measure professional marketing strategies and tactics for resmetirom aligned to brand strategy, positioning, targeting, and messaging and meet all FDA regulations and standards


Create and execute a robust KOL/TL engagement plan to support the launch of resmetirom
 
Build a best-in-class speaker bureau from ground up to support execution of high-impact peer-to-peer programming; including annual plan, operational setup, compliance requirements, content development, speaker identification & training, analytics, national broadcasts, etc.
 
Lead, develop and execute a US commercial congress and convention strategy, including an annual plan, cross-functional planning, booth design, and execution of commercial tactics, sponsorships, product theaters, executive encounter, and other events
 
Establish and execute an advisory board strategy and annual plan to identify key customer insights
 
Work collaboratively with Medical, Legal, and Regulatory team to ensure medically accurate and compliant execution of peer-to-peer and KOL engagement initiatives
 
Effectively partner to ensure alignment and success with cross-functional partners including PRC/MLR, market research, analytics, medical affairs, regulatory, legal, compliance, field, etc.
 
Lead agency partners, manage budget, and evaluate tactical performance to ensure appropriate resource allocation and timely delivery

Education and Experience:
 
Bachelor's Degree; MBA or Masters preferred
 
7+ years of diverse biopharmaceutical commercial or marketing experience (required)
 
3+ years of speaker programs/bureau, conventions, and advisory board expertise (required)
 
2+ years of KOL/TL engagement experience (required)
 
At least 1 specialty launch in the past 5 years (required); subpart H experience is a plus
 
Experience in smaller company (or team) environment is a plus
 
Robust experience in digital / non-personal promotion and customer analytics is a plus
