Opportunity and Summary of Position:
The position leads the strategy, tactic development, and execution of messaging and resources to internal and external Market Access and Trade customers. This encompasses development of Market Access brand strategies by channel, above-brand initiatives and accountability for all brand payer related initiatives working closely with the Brand Team, Training, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, Finance and Patient Support. This position will also be responsible for leading all Market Access operational initiatives. The Payer Marketing and Operations Director will report to the VP, Market Access.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of disease state, clinical data, and commercialization strategy
Lead Market Access brand strategy assessment and build recommendations on short and long-term Market Access strategies
Work with Marketing, Legal, Compliance, HEOR to ensure the development of compliant, impactful, up to date payer customer and trade customer facing materials, including a value proposition for Market Access customers
Develop and implement payer and trade pull-through materials
Communicate Market Access updates across the organization effectively and timely in coordination with other key processes and stakeholders
Direct brand specific payer market research activities
Manage Payer Marketing brand budget resources
Lead operational initiatives in support of the broader Market Access organization including development and oversight of external meeting presence, internal meeting alignment and preparations, and coordination with training
Manages key agencies of record and vendors to deliver systems, tools and tactics, including measurement of KPIs
Become a knowledge broker with internal stakeholders to grow the Market Access acumen and understanding across Madrigal through engagement and information sharing with key stakeholders
Collaborates closely with Brand Team and engages with Commercial Leaders as the business dictates
Be an active participant in an engaging, performance-based culture that motivates the team to exceed expectations
Qualifications and Skills
Knowledge of payer and access stakeholder needs in the US
Solid track record of driving Market Access initiatives within an organization
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a matrix team environment
Excellent planning and strategy development while executing against tight timelines
High emotional intelligence in managing multiple business initiatives and cross-functional relationships
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong organizational and project management skills
Excitement about the vision and mission of Madrigal
*Travel is up to 20%*
Preferred:
MBA or Master's Degree
Launch experience within Market Access
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited four year college or university (or the equivalent if education obtained outside of the United States)
Minimum 8 years business experience in the healthcare, device or pharmaceutical/biotech industry
