Madrigal is seeking a Senior Principal Scientist-Metabolic Discovery Lead with 10 years of Pharmaceutical experience. We seek a PhD with In Vivo, small molecule and/or biologic programs experience. The Principal Scientist will lead biology drug discovery & program management and should have experience working with chemists and in vitro assays.  Metabolic disease experience and due diligence/asset assessment experience would be a plus.

The person would oversee collaborations and lead development of new drug candidates working with a Chemistry CRO, and interacting with our consultant chemists. 
Ph.D. with 10 years of post-graduate experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required

Preferable to have a background in metabolic disease drug discovery
 
Demonstrated competence for team leadership with a record of successful scientific accomplishments  

Excellent oral, written and management skills are required

This position may require 10% travel
