Talent Lead

Magenta Labs is an early stage technology startup developing a groundbreaking product in the consumer video market. Our current team hails from Instagram, Facebook, Square, Google and Apple. We're seeking a Head of Talent.

This role is responsible for managing our talent pipeline and protecting our culture as we scale. You're a proven leader in building recruiting excellence at both small and large scale businesses, with a track record in delivering fast paced, high volume, cross-functional talent acquisition.

What you'll work on:

    • Create an integrated talent plan across engineering and non-technical roles, aligned with organizational and business goals
    • Design and deliver innovative talent sourcing and pipeline development strategies, that will scale to meet business objectives against headcount plans and multiple locations (US & Int’l)
    • Drive all talent processes, including assessment of talent and org capability, strengths and gaps, identification of themes, and recommendations
    • Produce regular performance analytics/insights and solutions to improve hiring performance and use for weekly internal recruiting communications
    • Develop and manage our employment brand
    • Manage recruiting measurement/tools across the organization, including functional KPIs and optimal use of internal Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
    • Proactively assess team and employee development needs, make recommendations, and implement appropriate solutions

Who we're looking for:

    • 7-10+ years of recruiting and/or human resources experience 
    • Built and evolved a high quality and well regarded recruiting function
    • Direct experience leading recruitment team in a fast-moving, high growth environment
    • Data driven and analytical, building and turning insights into action
    • Proven ability to build diverse high quality talent pipelines/slates
    • Values driven and an enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive and productive work environment
    • Demonstrate business acumen, curiosity and growth mindset
    • Strong assessor of talent and able to coach for development
    • Strong knowledge of talent analytics, organizational design and development principles, strategic planning and change management methodologies
    • Self-starter who thrives with little direction or management oversight
    • Large scale project management skills
