Role Summary:

The Director, Project Management Office (PMO) will build and lead a new Project Management Office at Magnet Forensics. This role is critical in driving cross functional alignment, operational efficiency, and project execution across our global organization. As the Director, PMO you will build and scale our Project Management Office from the ground up which includes developing the structure, governance, tools and standards needed to ensure project success. In this role, you will lead a team of program and project managers.

This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

What you will accomplish:

PMO Establishment and Governance
·       Design, develop, and implement the PMO structure and operational model
·       Build and implement project governance, standardized processes, templates and tools
·       Lead change management efforts related to the adoption of PMO standards across the organization
·       Build the structure of roles within the PMO, the responsibilities and clear workflow 
 
Metrics, Reporting and Planning
·       Ensure Magnet’s project portfolio aligns with corporate strategy and capacity planning
·       Set KPIs and track performance, ROI, and overall project health by creating a centralized reporting dashboard with status tracking and delivery milestones
·       Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to support effectiveness
·       Use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement
·       Set annual OKRs for your team and report on progress at monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews

Leadership and Strategy
·       Oversee and prioritize project selection to ensure alignment to strategic objectives
·       Build and lead a high performing team of project and program managers
·       Foster a results driven and collaborative project culture
·       Partner with leadership to align on strategic initiatives and prioritize projects across the organization

What we're looking for:
·       10+ years of project management experience in a tech or software environment
·       5 + years of experience leading or establishing a PMO or similar function
·       Proven ability to set a clear direction for operational excellence and to drive transformational change
·       Strong collaborator, and team player who can be hands on when required
·       Demonstrated ability to build, grow, lead, and inspire a team
·       Strategic thinker with solid problem-solving and decision-making methodologies
·       Highly collaborative with an ability to influence within and across teams to align on strategic initiatives and challenge the status quo
·       Exceptional communication skills, with an ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical users
·       Ability to conceptualize, present, and sell ideas internally and externally
·       Critical thinker with the ability to think deeply and qualitatively about business problems
·       Demonstrated success delivering large-scale transformation programs
·       PMP considered an asset

Compensation & Benefits:

The Compensation range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. Please note that the actual compensation may vary depending on location and job-related factors such as qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills. If you are applying for this role outside of the primary location and you are selected for an interview, the Talent Acquisition Partner can share more information with you.  If the compensation structure for the role includes an incentive component (ie. most Sales roles) the range below represents total target compensation (TTC) (base salary + variable). 

Compensation Range: MIN: $140,000 - MID: $200,000 - MAX: $240,000 Currency: CAD
