Your Role
Are you passionate about creating exceptional employee experiences? As an HR Onboarding Coordinator, you will be at the heart of our global onboarding process, ensuring that every new hire feels welcomed and supported from day one. This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, process-driven, and dedicated to making a positive impact on our employees' journey.
 
This role will be a hybrid of remote work and in office at our Waterloo, Ontario location.
 
What You Will Accomplish
·         Maintain onboarding process from start to finish.
·         Complete the I9 process to ensure compliance with legal requirements in US.
·         Manage and update the company intranet with relevant onboarding information.
·         Maintain, update, and continually improve onboarding documentation to ensure accuracy and relevance.
·         Lead HR orientation sessions to welcome and integrate new hires into the company culture.
·         Manage new hire correspondence, including sending welcome emails and providing necessary information.
·         Start and maintain employee files and recordkeeping to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
·         Support the HRIS (Human Resource Information System) by entering and updating employee data.
·         Track new hires to ensure all onboarding steps are completed.
·         Conduct new hire check-ins to address any questions or concerns.
·         Administer new hire surveys to gather feedback on the onboarding process.
·         Maintain and update onboarding toolkits to provide new hires with essential resources.
·         Oversee the "Magnet For-iends program" - its goal is to provide a warm welcome to new hires and help connect them to others across the organization.
·         Support the Waterloo office facilities maintenance and health & safety initiatives.
·         Support other HR tasks and projects as needed. 
 
What We Are Looking For
We’re looking for someone who checks off most, but not all, of the boxes listed in “skills and experiences”.  It’s more important to us to find candidates who can display indicators of success through skills they have developed and experiences they have been a part of, than to find folks who have ‘been there, done that”.  We want to be part of your development journey, and we’ll learn as much from you as you learn from us. 
 
There are a couple must haves, but we will keep that list short: 

·         Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
·         1 – 2 Years proven experience in HR, onboarding, or a similar role.
·         Strong organizational and time management skills.
·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
·         Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
·         Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software.
·         Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
·         Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Compensation & Benefits: 
The Compensation range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. Please note that the actual compensation may vary depending on location and job-related factors such as qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills. If you are applying for this role outside of the primary location and you are selected for an interview, the Talent Acquisition Partner can share more information with you.  If the compensation structure for the role includes an incentive component (ie. most Sales roles) the range below represents total target compensation (TTC) (base salary + variable).
  
Compensation Range: 
MIN: $48,800  - MID: $61,000  - MAX: $73,200  - Currency: CAD
