Magnopus’ Summer Internship Program is a full-time paid experience that is designed to give students the opportunity to work on cutting-edge experiences.  

In this program, you will be given the chance to work alongside some of the most ambitious and dynamic groups of individuals you will ever meet.  

Targeted Majors: Game Design, Computer Science, Graphic Design, Visual Design 

It is required that you submit a portfolio/presentation of your work with your application. You may do so by providing a link to an online presentation, or attaching documents to your resume. All presentations must contain a detailed breakdown of the work. It must be very clear what you, the applicant, manage.

The compensation for this role is $19/hour. 

Eligibility:

    • Currently enrolled Undergraduate and Graduate students
    • Recent graduates within one year of graduation
    • Able to work in LA and be able to secure housing accommodations (Magnopus is not offering relocation assistance at this time)
    • Available for approximately 10 weeks from June through August
    • Authorized to work in the US
    • Passion for VR, AR, Media and Entertainment

Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the creation of game design documents, including gameplay mechanics, level layouts, and narrative outlines
    • Prototype and iterate on gameplay mechanics using industry-standard tools such as Unity, Unreal Engine or UEFN
    • Playtest and provide feedback on internal builds, identifying areas for improvement and refinement
    • Participate in design discussions and contribute creative solutions to design challenges
    • Work closely with artists, programmers, and other team members to ensure cohesive integration of design elements
    • Collaborate with designers to brainstorm and develop new game concepts and features

Must Haves:

    • Experience with 2D and 3D interactions
    • Working knowledge of programming languages like C++ or C#
    • Strong written and verbal communicator
    • A self-starter that loves a team environment
    • Passion to learn, open-minded with a positive attitude

Would Be Nice:

    • Experience working with VR/AR or UEFN
    • Motion graphics design experience

$19 - $19 an hour
