Magnopus’ Summer Internship Program is a full-time paid experience that is designed to give students the opportunity to work on cutting-edge experiences.  

In this program, you will be given the chance to work alongside some of the most ambitious and dynamic groups of individuals you will ever meet.  

Prior AR/VR or Entertainment internship or experience a plus

The compensation for this role is $19/hour. 

Eligibility:

    • Currently enrolled Undergraduate and Graduate students
    • Recent graduates within one year of graduation
    • Able to work in LA and be able to secure housing accommodations (Magnopus is not offering relocation assistance at this time)
    • Available for approximately 10 weeks from June through August
    • Authorized to work in the US
    • Passion for VR, AR, Media and Entertainment

Responsibilities:

    • Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
    • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, software applications, and peripherals
    • Help manage and monitor IT infrastructure, including servers, routers, switches, and other network devices
    • Participate in the implementation of IT projects, such as software upgrades, system migrations, and network expansions
    • Collaborate with IT staff to document procedures, policies, and technical specifications
    • Conduct research on emerging technologies and industry trends to support IT innovation initiatives
    • Assist with the administration of user accounts, permissions, and security settings
    • Contribute to the development and maintenance of IT documentation, including user guides and training materials
    • Help promote a nurturing atmosphere 
    • Be able to prioritize between different projects and disciplines in a fast paced environment
    • Help manage and organize JIRA tasks and finding ways to make JIRA and Confluence more efficient
    • Other duties as assigned

Must Have:

    • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
    • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts
    • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn

    • Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, or macOS
    • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
    • Ability to adapt to changing needs of with grace, and exhibit confidence and political sensitivity
    • Strong organizational/project planning and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as critical thinking/problem solving skills
    • Results-oriented outlook, and proactive personality with the ability to triage

Would Be Nice:

    • Understanding of different types of game engines (Unity, Unreal, etc)
    • Experience with JIRA Software
    • Agile knowledge
