Magnopus’ Summer Internship Program is a full-time paid experience that is designed to give students the opportunity to work on cutting-edge experiences.
In this program, you will be given the chance to work alongside some of the most ambitious and dynamic groups of individuals you will ever meet.
As an Engineering intern, you may work in the following roles:
Core System Engineer, Tools Pipeline Engineer, Rendering Engineer, Prototyper
Prior AR/VR or Entertainment internship or experience a plus
The compensation for this role is $19/hour.
Eligibility:
- Currently enrolled Undergraduate and Graduate students
- Recent graduates within one year of graduation
- Able to work in LA and be able to secure housing accommodations (Magnopus is not offering relocation assistance at this time)
- Available for approximately 10 weeks from June through August
- Authorized to work in the US
- Passion for VR, AR, Media and Entertainment
Responsibilities:
- Actively listen, engage, communicate and learn
- Writing clean, well documented, testable code
- Collaborate with developers on pipelines, tools and application code for 3D experiences
- Other duties as assigned
Must Haves:
- Experience developing 3D applications using Unity, Unreal or another game engine
- Knowledge of linear algebra and general 3D mathematics
- Experience with one or more of C#, Python, C++
- Experience collaborating with other developers, e.g. group projects or previous workplace experience
Would Be Nice:
- Experience with multiple programming languages, especially C++, Python or JavaScript
- Development on embedded platforms such as mobile (Android, iOS) or game consoles
- Experience working with 3D tools, e.g. 3ds Max, Maya
- Engine-level development or rendering development with OpenGL/Direct3D or similar
