Magnopus’ Summer Internship Program is a full-time paid experience that is designed to give students the opportunity to work on cutting-edge experiences.  

In this program, you will be given the chance to work alongside some of the most ambitious and dynamic groups of individuals you will ever meet.  

As an Art intern, you may work in the following roles:
3D Artist (Character Artist, Environment Artist), Concept Artist, VFX, Lighting and Technical Art

It is required that you submit a portfolio/presentation of your work with your application. You may do so by providing a link to an online presentation, or attaching documents to your resume. All presentations must contain a detailed breakdown of the work. It must be very clear what you, the applicant, manage.

 The compensation for this role is $19/hour. 

Eligibility:

    • Currently enrolled Undergraduate and Graduate students
    • Recent graduates within one year of graduation
    • Able to work in LA and be able to secure housing accommodations (Magnopus is not offering relocation assistance at this time)
    • Available for approximately 10 weeks from June through August
    • Authorized to work in the US
    • Passion for VR, AR, Media and Entertainment

Must Have:

    • Currently enrolled in a BA or MA program majoring in 3D Art, Animation, Fine Arts, Game Art, Visual Art, or Studio Arts
    • Experience with Maya and/or Max
    • Experience working with Unity and/or Unreal Engine
    • Experience with Photoshop
    • Digital Art asset production
    • A passion for tackling new challenges
    • A broad base of artistic and technical knowledge
    • Solid communication skills
    • Interest in working with artists with different backgrounds and specialties
    • Portfolio that demonstrates a keen eye for artistic and technical direction
    • Prior AR/VR or Entertainment internship or experience is a plus
