We are working on cutting-edge XR virtual production applications and films which allow people to connect deeper to the world around them in order to feel touched, inspired, educated and entertained. We are seeking YOU, a motivated 3D technical artist intern, to help us bring these experiences to life using our product.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, QA testers, product managers, and artists, to assist in the creation of proof-of-concept projects for connected spaces. Gain hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and presenting experiences within the OKO Connected Spaces platform.
- Participate in product demos to gain experience and exposure while working with top industry clients and customers worldwide.
- Assist in playtesting the product, identifying potential feature improvements, and reporting any issues to the relevant teams.
- Contribute to strategic discussions regarding the future direction of the product and its user experience.
Must Have
- Portfolio of work showing modeling and texturing expertise across a variety of types of models with a focus on environment models, props, and sets.
- Experience with hard surface, and environment modeling using Maya or Blender
- Experience creating textures and materials
- Experience with modeling, UV mapping, and texturing
- Experience optimizing geometry down to a low-polygon count (but knowing where to preserve details)
- Experience with Photoshop
- Digital art asset production
1 year of experience with real-time content creation including:
Would Be Nice
- Experience prototyping / developing games, or VR/AR titles using a real-time 3D game engine like Unity or Unreal.
- Examples of work showing an ability to work in different visual styles.
- Ability to create concept and previsualization assets.
- Interest in taking film-quality assets and preparing them for performant rendering in an AR/VR environment.
- Experience creating textures using Substance Painter.
- Experience lighting and creating material and shaders in Unreal, and or Unity.
- Photogrammetry and 3D Scanning experience.
- Basic Scripting Knowledge (C# / Javascript / Python)
Eligibility
- Recent graduate - within one year of graduation or a student currently enrolled in a program.
- Able to work in LA Office (This is an onsite position and Magnopus is not offering relocation assistance at this time)
- Available part time (approx 15-25 hours a week)
- Authorized to work in the US
- Passion for VR, AR, Media and Entertainment

$19 - $19 an hour
