Our next Cash Controller will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of payment processing and cash management at Malt.
This role is responsible for maintaining accurate records, analyzing cash flow, generating reliable forecasts, and identifying opportunities to improve processes.
Reporting to our Group Head of Cash Operations, this person will work closely with various finance teams to ensure seamless operations and compliance.
Key responsibilities ✨
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of all payment transactions and meticulous tracking of cash inflows/outflows across platforms.
- Analyze and optimize payment and cash management processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and error minimization.
- Support adherence to relevant local and international regulations related to payment processing and financial operations.
- Track, analyze, and report on payment and cash flow data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for enhancement.
- Maintain precise cash records and ensure proper framing across all relevant platforms and systems.
- Build and maintain short-term, medium-term, and long-term cash flow forecasts to support financial planning.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Accounting, FP&A, ClientOps, Treasury, etc.) to resolve payment/cash issues and ensure effective communication.
About you 🧑🚀
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Financial Controlling preferably with a focus on Cash Management
- Strong analytical skills to analyze financial data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions regarding payment and cash flow.
- Technical proficiency with payment processing systems like banking platforms, financing partner platforms, PSPs, and reporting tools (e.g., Treasury Management Systems, ERP systems, Pigment, Looker, Google Sheets).
- Risk Awareness: Understanding of potential risks associated with payment processing and cash management.
- Data Management: Competence in managing and interpreting financial data related to payments and cash flow.
- Attentive to detail, problem-solving, and proactive in order to identify and implement improvements to existing workflows.
- Fully fluent French and English speaker in order to collaborate with an international Europe-wide team

- Interview with Glwadys, Interim Head of Finance Strategy, to delve into your experience and the specifics of the role. (45-60 minutes)
- Home assignment for you to complete and present on-site in order to assess your technical skills
- Final interview with Benoit, our interim CFO, to discuss Malt’s long-term vision
