Our ambition for Malt Germany is to transform this market into one of the strongest in Europe! To achieve this goal we are looking for an SMB Account Manager German Market, responsible for developing and growing a portfolio of SMB clients (start-ups, scale-ups and traditional small medium businesses, which we define as companies less than 1000 employees)

As a trusted advisor, you will actively work to ensure Malt is always at the forefront, acting in your clients’ best interests and ensuring a world-class service.

To succeed in this role, you will need an entrepreneurial mindset, adaptability, and a willingness to go the extra mile to guarantee our rapid expansion.

Key responsibilities ✨

    • Develop a portfolio of new clients within SMB (small medium business) accounts in the German market
    • Achieve your targets by prospecting within client accounts via an outbound strategy that will allow you to continue to expand your portfolio
    • Ensure the conversion of leads into missions and work in collaboration with the Community team on client briefs and follow-ups
    • Guarantee the quality of projects posted online by ensuring that requests comply with our charter of conduct put in place to protect freelancers
    • Support clients in their search to help them connect to our best freelance profilesDeploy the Malt reflex: AMs position themselves as a “trusted advisor” and establish a long-term relationship with their clients
    • Collect and interpret customer feedback to propose improvements to our CRM and our product in collaboration with the Product team

About you 🧑‍🚀

    • You have previous sales experience ideally in SaaS platform/marketplace
    • Fluent-level in German and fluent English speakerYou have excellent listening skills
    • You have a strong appetite for business development
    • Your curiosity and your ability to establish and formalize the short, medium and long term needs of your customers will be a real plus
    • Desire to integrate a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating, caring and demanding work environmentKnowledge of the tech industry (languages and frameworks) is a real asset but not required
    • Nice to have: existing network in the SMB DACH industry
