DESCRIPTION
Mammoth is seeking a Senior Development Scientist with expertise in protein and nucleic acid biochemistry techniques. As part of product development team, the ideal candidate will have experience with assay development and product commercialization related to molecular tests and reagent kits. Further, the candidate will be comfortable leading, managing and collaborating across the team as needed, with demonstrated ability to prioritize projects, agendas and time to accomplish assigned goals. 

Responsibilities

    • Plan, design and execute experiments for CRISPR based diagnostic assay optimization and CRISPR reagent formulation development, lyophilization processes and stability
    • Analyze data, evaluate results, form conclusions, and provide and/or implements improvements; communicate results with colleagues and management
    • Lead the development and implementation of quality control procedures for critical reagents, processes and instruments
    • Optimize and ensure product performance by utilizing proven development practices and/or developing novel procedures
    • Optimize and document SOPs to achieve commercial levels of stability, robustness and performance
    • Coordinate with third party manufacturer and conduct technology transfer

Requirements

    • Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field with 5 years of industry experience; or Master's with 7 years of experience
    • Proven background in assay development under design control
    • Demonstrated product commercialization
    • Experience with DOE methodologies
    • Experience with lyophilization processes
    • Strong communication, presentation and data analysis skills
    • Highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with the ability to think creatively

Preferred Requirements

    • Experience with CRISPR technology
    • Experience with diagnostics test development
    • Experience with formulation development
