OPPORTUNITY
Serving as Mammoth’s first in-house IT hire, the IT Manager will be responsible for guiding and executing the company’s IT strategy. This is a full-service role that will require the ability to toggle between tactical and strategic work. The ideal candidate will feel confident being the company’s subject matter expert in IT and bring a whatever-it-takes attitude to managing and scaling the function. This role will come with a great deal of autonomy and report directly to the COO.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage and prioritize day-to-day IT requests and issues across cloud, on-premise and remote resources
    • Work closely with the HR/Operations teams to onboard and offboard employees while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and discretion
    • Manage IT vendor relationships, including the company’s current contract IT resource, as well as subscriptions and license agreements
    • Execute conference room and individual desktop setup, management and troubleshooting, as needed
    • Advise the leadership team on the development, implementation and improvement of IT policies and best practices for the company 
    • Independently analyze and manage systems upgrades, outages, implementations, integrations and special projects
    • Ensure the security of the company’s IT infrastructure, systems, data and IT assets
    • Serve as the subject matter expert for all IT needs across the organization, partnering closely with both the technical and shared services teams

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 5 years of experience in (an) IT role(s) that span IT operations, infrastructure, network  and security
    • Experience managing IT as a department of one or few in a startup environment
    • Experience working with AWS
    • Experience with programming languages and operating systems (Windows, MacOS, linux) 
    • Familiarity with cloud computing environments, cloud storage and backups, and serverless technologies 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience working in a lab-based environment
    • Experience with supporting NetSuite ERP and Salesforce CRM platforms
    • Experience planning, implementing and testing disaster recovery scenarios
    • Experience implementing and/or managing SOX compliance measures
    • Comfort explaining IT needs and training on software and processes to audiences of diverse understanding
    • Hands-on, can-do attitude - no job is too big or too small
    • Ability to work independently and autonomously, and manage up as needed
    • Knowledge of enterprise backups
