Mammoth Biosciences is looking for a patent agent with a technical background in a diagnostic-relevant field. 


    • Work with VP of IP and outside counsel to prepare and prosecute patent applications
    • Provide technical and patent research and analysis
    • Contribute to patent prosecution strategy
    • Conduct patent landscape/freedom to operate analysis
    • Interact with research and development team to identify new intellectual property and secure protection on existing inventions
    • Other duties as assigned


    • Bachelor's degree in a diagnostic device field, such as mechanical engineering, microfluidics, molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, cell biology, chemistry, biophysics or the like
    • US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) registration, or ability to become registered within 3 months of start date
    • Bench and/or patent prosecution experience with diagnostic devices or sequencing devices
    • 6 months’ relevant experience drafting and prosecuting patents before the USPTO


    • Advanced degree in a CRISPR-relevant field, such as molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, cell biology, chemistry, biophysics, mechanical engineering or the like
    • 1+ year US patent prosecution experience
    • USPTO registration number
    • Strong communication and follow-up skills
    • Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities
    • Ability to drive projects with little guidance or direction
    • Preference for local candidates; remote work option will be considered
