About Us
We’re a fast-moving startup securing mission-critical software powering over $100B of critical infrastructure and assets across the Fortune 500 and Federal Government. Our platform illuminates hidden risks in software and AI supply chains—helping our customers detect and manage risk in order to operate with confidence. The stakes are high—and we’re building the team that can rise to meet them.
The Role
As an Enterprise Sales Engineer, you’ll be the technical expert and voice of our customers—partnering closely to help Fortune 500 companies understand the technical power of our platform and how it maps to mission needs. You’ll lead solutioning conversations, deliver compelling demos, help respond to RFIs/RFPs, and ensure that technical stakeholders walk away impressed and confident in Manifest’s ability to solve their mission critical challenges. This role is perfect for someone who loves translating complex security and supply chain challenges into actionable solutions.
You'll also have the opportunity to help build out the SE function.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for:
- Owning complex, technical engagements during the pre-sales process, including discovery, scoping, demonstrations, and hands-on evaluations (e.g. POVs, pilots).
- Serving as the technical voice of the customer to internal teams—helping translate technical requirements into business outcomes.
- Working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Marketing to create clear, compelling collateral, demo environments, and technical messaging.
- Translating evolving policy requirements (e.g. EO 14028, ISO 21434, FDA's 524B(b) Pre-Market Guidance, CISA SBOM guidance) into value-driven narratives that resonate with cybersecurity, product security, and compliance audiences.
- Participating in conferences, webinars, on-sites, and technical briefings—establishing credibility with stakeholders across Fortune 500 medical device manufacturing, auto manufacturing, industrial automation, financial services, insurance, and software.
- Helping define and support the growth of the SE function
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 5 to 8+ years experience in a pre-sales engineering, solutions architecture, or technical consulting role in the cybersecurity space.
- A strategic seller with an innate ability to connect Manifest's capabilities with customer pain points in both business and technical terms
- Familiarity with software security topics like SBOMs, AI security, vulnerability management, CI/CD pipelines, or DevSecOps.
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to communicate clearly to both engineers and executives.
- Curiosity and comfort navigating unstructured environments—many of our customers are still figuring out their approach to software supply chain security.
- High intellectual horsepower and the discipline to execute—no ego, no excuses
- Excellent executive presence, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Able to travel to engage with customers and build face-to-face relationships
Why This Role Matters
The threats facing our software and AI supply chains aren’t theoretical—they’re real, growing, and increasingly targeted at the systems Fortune 500 companies rely on. As one of the first technical voices our customers engage with, you’ll shape how our prospects understand and respond to these risks. Your insights from the field won’t just help close deals—they’ll directly inform our product roadmap, messaging, and go-to-market strategy. You’ll be a bridge between customer needs and company priorities, helping ensure we build the right solutions for the right problems. In this role, you won’t just be selling software—you’ll be helping safeguard the digital foundations of critical infrastructure and shaping the future of our platform.
