At Marco Polo, we’re passionate about helping people feel close. We develop technology to make that kind of magic happen, and we insist on feeling joyful along the way.
We’re looking to hire a Senior Product Designer who is motivated by iteration, experimentation, and learning. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, love working through hypotheses, and prioritize driving meaningful outcomes—without losing sight of the details that matter—we’d love to talk.
In this role, you will:
- Design and iterate rapidly: Take broad, conceptual ideas and quickly turn them into experiments that help us learn and grow. You’ll be focused on testing, measuring, and improving acquisition, activation, monetization and referral.
- Obsess over business impact: Identify opportunities to drive key business metrics, such as activation, monetization, and retention. You'll focus on refining features and experiences that enhance user experience and move key business metrics forward.
- Work cross-functionally: Partner closely with engineers, product managers, and other designers to bring designs from concept to reality. You'll collaborate deeply across teams to deliver impactful results and drive business growth.
- Make data-driven design decisions: Use qualitative and quantitative insights to guide your approach. You’ll conduct user research, analyze engagement metrics, and refine experiences based on real-world data.
- Champion a test-and-learn mindset: Develop hypotheses, ship experiments, and analyze the results to drive continuous improvement. You'll celebrate learnings just as much as successes.
- Own your research: You’ll take the initiative in conducting user research, competitor analysis, and data gathering to inform your design decisions.
You might be a great fit if you:
- Have a strong background in UI/UX design across mobile, web, and desktop platforms
- Have a desire to deeply understand the “why” before defining the “how”
- Love fast iteration and continuous learning—comfortable making quick iterations and refining based on real-world feedback
- Can drive business outcomes by designing with both user needs and behavioral psychology in mind
- Know how to bring ideas to life through thoughtful prototyping and clear communication
- Are adaptable and able to adjust to technical constraints and evolving priorities
- Have experience with A/B testing and user research methodologies
- Thrive in a remote-first environment and genuinely enjoy async collaboration across teams
- Enjoy working across a wide range of challenges and never get bored doing it
- Have 4+ years of experience designing consumer-facing products, ideally in growth-oriented teams
Our Design Culture:
- We prioritize speed of iteration and exploring multiple options to find the best user experience. We believe in designing quickly, testing often, and refining based on data and insights.
How We Collaborate:
- As a fully remote team, we work in a variety of ways. Our primary way is asynchronously via Marco Polo, but we also do live Zoom chats and of course, plenty of feedback loops happening through Figma comments. This allows us to move fast while ensuring alignment and clarity in our work.
Benefits & Perks:
- Comprehensive medical, vision and dental coverage plus benefits that support your mental health and emotional well-being.
- Flexible paid time off, generous company holidays and self care days.
- 100% remote, anywhere in North America.
- A work schedule built to fit your real life.
- Quarterly in-person and virtual team retreats.
- Compensation: Our cash compensation package consists of two components - base pay and equity in the company. The target salary for this position is $135K-$165K per year. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including knowledge, skills, and experience, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
Does this sound interesting to you? If so, then we'd love to hear from you.
