Institutional Property Advisors is seeking a dependable individual with prior experience in real estate financial analysis and valuation. This is a full-time position working directly under the top institutional multifamily brokerage team in the Seattle office, of which last year transacted nearly $1.1 billion in sales and over $2 billion in evaluations.
 
Excellent analytical and professional business writing skills are required. Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Real Estate. Superior computer skills are a must; candidate should possess an extremely high comfort level with Microsoft Excel and have general excel financial modeling capabilities.

The Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support services, which will include preparing proposals/opinions of value, data input, underwriting property values, performing market research, both in and outside the office to evaluate real estate, analyzing comparable properties and sales trends and preparing financial analysis for presentation to clients. Professionalism and attention to detail are musts.
 
Most underwriting and proposal assignments will range from $20M to $100M in deal size but will also include private and mid-market assignments ($5M to $20M) and large institutional transactions ($100M+) across Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Approximately 75% of our business is selling existing buildings with 25% being development/land sites.
 
The Financial Analyst will be a resourceful contributor to the team who can operate in a fast paced and demanding environment, take direction, and multi-task under tight deadlines. Projecting a friendly and professional demeanor while having fun is mandatory for this position.

NOTE: This is NOT a remote work from home position. Applicants must be available to work in the Seattle office.

Duties will include:

    • Review financial statements and operating information
    • Prepare financial models for commercial real estate valuation
    • Gather and research comparables
    • Call and/or shop market surveys
    • Track market trends such as rental growth and development
    • Help prepare marketing and promotional materials
    • Respond to requests for property information
    • Database Management

Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree, or higher
