Marcus & Millichap, one of the nation’s leading commercial real estate investment services company (with nearly 2,000 investment sales and financing professionals in 80 offices nationwide and throughout Canada) is seeking a Public Relations Assistant based in Calabasas, CA who reports to the Director of Public Relations and supports the Public Relations team.
This position works in the corporate Public Relations department on a variety of administrative, public relations, marketing and communications projects. They serve as a primary administrative support of work within the department.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

    • Monitors PR email inboxes and ensure timely responses
    • Handles media list updates in SalesForce
    • Works with internal stakeholders to collect required data, photos, charts, research, etc. to support article development, surveys, rankings and awards
    • Liaise with agents, staff and media contacts for editorial opportunities
    • Works with PR team to build and maintain annual editorial calendars, track deadlines, and pitch media
    • Coordinates distribution of approved press releases and research reports to media contacts
    • Posts press releases and designated media hits to company website
    • Tracks PR metrics (media hits, press appearances, etc.) and produce basic reports
    • Coordinates PR accounts payables and media subscriptions
    • Works with PR team to write, proofread and edit press releases
    • Supports special PR, marketing, and administrative projects 

Education and Experience Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree.
    • Prefer 2+ years minimum experience in a related field. Commercial real estate or brokerage industry experience a plus. Administrative support experience a must.
    • Written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
    • Must be highly organized, proactive, detail and deadline oriented with ability to handle multiple priorities at once.
    • Must be able to manage projects from start to completion within the given time-frame.
    • Able to take a positive team approach.
    • Excellent computer and Internet skills are essential.
    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required and other graphics and/or presentation software including Adobe Suite and WebEx is preferred.
    • Any additional working knowledge of traffic management applications is a plus.
    • In-house marketing department or PR agency background is a plus.
