Marcus & Millichap, the nation's leading commercial real estate investment company, is seeking a talented Team Manager / Escrow Manager to support a top-performing commercial real estate brokerage team located in Oakbrook Terrace, IL (Chicago)
 
The ideal candidate would possess the following:  Excellent customer service skills, ability to work effectively with all personalities, positive, professional, can-do attitude. Courteous and approachable, able to keep work confidentially, able to keep cool in high pressure situations, proficient at multi-tasking, accept responsibility for and take pride in work output/product while achieving deadlines.
 
The Team Manager component will be responsible for developing and overseeing (with assistance from senior partners) all team related processes, projects, and procedures.  He/she should have experience managing multiple employees and will be a liaison between the senior partners and the rest of the team members, as well as company management personnel.  

Team Manager Responsibilities:
·         Primarily overseeing the team’s daily activities to ensure effective workflow
·         Work closely with senior partners to develop and oversee team processes and projects to ensure short and long-term goals are met
·         Manage multiple schedules
·         Oversee all team staff members
·         Schedule team and client events and outings
·         Interview new hires and train new team members
 
The Escrow Manager component will have direct client interaction and must be proficient in written and oral communication.  He/she should ideally have an advanced understanding of the real estate transaction process including reading and understanding documents such as leases and contracts as well as interaction with escrow companies.
 
Escrow Manager Responsibilities:
·         Reading and abstracting real estate documents
·         Creating and managing critical event timing (i.e. Escrow deadlines)
·         Serving as liaison between agent(s), client(s), and third-party vendor(s)
·         Submit Necessary Paperwork and Process Closings Internally
·         Communicate with Title Company to Ensure Contractual Requirements are Met (Escrow Opened, Confirm Earnest Money & Wiring Instructions, Closing Documents, etc.)
·         Assist in Gathering, Delivering & confirming receipt of critical information
·         Process Tenant Estoppel & SNDA Request (as needed)
·         Update Team Pipeline Reports and other Sales Reports

Desired Experience/Skills:

    • Experience in operations management, staff oversight and hiring, including advanced administrative/clerical functions, interaction with clients as well as exposure to real estate escrow management and contracts.
    • College graduate or demonstrated combination of formal education, training, and experience with knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to those possessed by a college graduate.
    • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
    • Experience planning, organizing, and executing multiple assignments, tasks, and projects
    • Experience proofreading documents for spelling, punctuation, and grammar
    • Experience with Salesforce is desirable although not required
    • Must demonstrate desire and capability to integrate work across relevant areas, manage transactional risks appropriately, handle information/documents and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers
