This Paid Internship position will enable you to learn in a systematic fashion the real estate industry and the fundamental principles of higher probability real estate brokerage for investment properties. This process allows you to learn the multiple facets of our business in a safe environment with constant monitoring and feedback.
 
This is a full-time position working directly under a top team in the Ft. Lauderdale office. Your mentor’s goals will be to support you in becoming the best possible agent you can be. After a period of indoctrination, you will have the opportunity to become a commercial real estate investment sales agent and to practice real agent activities, firsthand client interaction and gain transactional experience.
 
Thus far, this position has successfully transitioned hundreds of mentees into Marcus & Millichap’s sales force that are highly productive agents with strong careers and annual incomes. 

Market Research:

    • Working in CoStar, MNet, etc. gathering /analyzing data
    • Conducting rent surveys
    • Property visits, taking property photos
    • Property valuation
    • Gain knowledge of company research and marketing materials

Business Development:

    • Research property ownership
    • Updating mentoring agent’s database
    • Conducting business development calls
    • Prospecting
    • Preparing first appointment books

Client Communications:

    • Transaction management
    • Contracts
    • Working with buyers
    • Negotiations and deal-making
    • Creating marketing plans and materials

In addition to completing tasks for mentoring agent, the paid mentee will work on the following development goals:

    • Working through the Agent Pre-Training Manual
    • Attending training classes
    • Completing a Business Plan
    • Building own database
    • Pricing properties and preparing proposals
    • Attending appointments with the mentoring agent
    • Discussing the strategy and outcomes of all deals
    • Meeting regularly with the Regional Manager
    • Attending sales meetings

Work/Education Requirements:

    • 4-year college degree
