Payroll Supervisor

Marcus & Millichap, Inc, the nation’s largest real estate investment brokerage company (80+ offices nationally), is looking to hire a highly motivated Payroll Supervisor within our Corporate Payroll department based in our Calabasas, CA Headquarters. 


    • Performs and supervises all day to day activities necessary to process multiple payrolls throughout the US and Canada. This would include but not be limited to: Timesheet review, Computing wage and overtime payments, Calculating and recording payroll deductions, Garnishments, Processing new hires and terminations.
    • Coordinates with benefits to ensure proper benefit deduction calculations.
    • Supervises the Payroll Administrator.
    • Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to.
    • Follow up on employee and management requests.
    • Make recommendations to improve quality and efficiency of the payroll process.

Experience Requirements:

    • Minimum 5 years experience in processing multi-state payrolls (Canadian payroll experience preferred).
    • Highly detail-oriented and accurate.
    • Ability to provide exceptional follow through and be customer service driven.
    • Ability to multi-task and work under very tight deadlines with a sense of urgency.
    • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
    • Self motivated with strong organizational skills.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills; able to interact with all levels of management and agents.
    • Must be able to handle a heavy volume of emails and provide pleasant and detailed responses.
    • Ability to prioritize workload effectively.
    • Proficient in MS-Office applications, including Excel and Word.
    • Knowledge of payroll software such as ADP Workforce Now.
