Marcus & Millichap is seeking a dependable individual with experience in real estate financial analysis, valuation and administrative responsibilities. This is a full-time position working directly with a top Chicagoland multi-family team based in the Oak Brook Office. Excellent analytical and professional business writing skills are required. Strong computer skills are a must; candidate should possess a high comfort level with Microsoft Excel and have general financial modeling capabilities.

Job Description
This person will provide financial and analytical support services, which will include preparing proposals/opinions of value, data input, underwriting property values, performing market research in order to evaluate real estate, analyzing comparable properties and sales trends and preparing financial analysis for presentation to clients. This is someone who can work with a team, operate in a fast paced, stressful environment, take direction, and multi-task under tight deadlines.

Administrative responsibilities include tasks such as handling calls, responding to inquiries, distributing marketing materials, database management and filing. This person will read and abstract real estate documents, create and manage critical event timing and serve as liaison between agents, clients and third-party vendors while at all times projecting a friendly and professional demeanor. Attention to detail are critical as this person will review documents for grammar and punctuation.

This is a full-time non-exempt role with an hourly wage range of $19.23 - $24.04

Duties Will Include:

    • Gather and research sales and rent comparables
    • Review financial statements and operating information
    • Complete financial analysis for commercial real estate valuation
    • Prepare client proposals and presentation materials
    • Create marketing and promotional materials
    • Respond to requests for property information
    • Prepare offers, purchase agreements or related documents
    • Database Management
    • Escrow management of transactions under contract
    • Interface with third-party vendors and clients

Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree, or higher
    • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and understand financial analysis and underwriting
    • Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to handle sensitive material and maintain the highest level of confidentiality
    • Self-motivated, team-oriented and strong time management skills to prioritize deadlines.
    • Ability to work independently with a team player attitude.
