Corporate – Marketing/Communications
This position work in an administrative support role for the Events and Awards Team on a variety of projects including but not limited to announcements, internal and external events, awards, agent and employee recognition and general department and office support.
The Events Assistant also tracks inventory and orders general office, events and kitchen supplies, handles shipping and receiving, maintains the company phone list, company mailing list, printing of research reports and other marketing materials, prepares name badges, placecards and other attendee mailings, scanning and filing, organizes departmental celebrations, internal meetings and/or webcasts/webinars and other projects as assigned. Includes front desk duties (phones, reception, mail, conference room set up, laundry pick up, postage, etc.) and maintaining a professional standard of neatness in general use areas (reception area, conference room, kitchen).
Individual must have strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills, be self-motivated and flexible, able to handle stressful situations and deadlines, be customer service oriented as well as enthusiastic, positive and have a professional demeanor.
This individual is expected to become knowledgeable about the general commercial real estate industry including terminology, the specific culture and history of the firm, events industry standards and terminology and the use of Cvent technology.
This is a non-exempt position with some travel to events and working on-site required. There will be some evening and weekend time needed leading up to major events. The holiday season is a very busy time in the events and awards department.
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Planning, Hospitality, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising or Business.
- 1-2 years of experience.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Attention to detail.

- Self-motivated and flexible.
- Must be highly organized, proactive, detail and deadline oriented with ability to handle multiple priorities at once.
- Must be a team player.

- Excellent computer and Internet skills are essential.
- Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of Adobe PDF editing tools.
- Experience working with Adobe Creative Cloud including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop a plus.
- Commercial real estate industry experience a strong plus.
