Marigold Health is seeking a graphic designer to work on various external assets for Marigold to communicate with patients, providers, and other audiences about our mental health and substance use recovery peer-based support program and offerings. These assets will be both print and digital. We are looking for someone versatile who can design for multiple audience types, with varying levels of complexity in the content. We have a basic existing brand identity to work with, and for the right person, there’s an opportunity to build upon that as a longer-term engagement.

    • Posters and fliers about Marigold’s services. The primary audience for these will be Medicaid patients, who likely lived in mental health deserts and may be in need of Marigold’s support program. They should be easy to read with high visibility.
    • Format: digital and print; roughly 5 different flyers with variations within each (e.g. for location details)
    • Due date: ongoing, with 1-2 flyers being the most immediate need out of all deliverables
    • Content and copy will be provided by head of partnerships and CPO
    • Feedback and guidance will be managed by CPO with input from CEO

    • Business development and board-related decks. These will be provider and payer facing, primarily and may also be used with other partners or vendors. The goal is to explain the clinical and business aspects of the Marigold offering, and Marigold's performance.
    • Format: digital; likely 15-30 slides
    • Due date: end of May
    • Content and copy will be provided by Marigold CEO and head of partnerships
    • Feedback and guidance will be managed by CPO with input from CEO

    • Medium-term deliverables: We have numerous other graphic/visual design needs, includingwebsite assets, and brand identity work. We are looking to redesign our website in the coming months, and will be needing specific assets, including icons, updated branding and color palette.

Experience and Skills

    • At least 1-2 years of experience across the following: graphic and informational posters, web-based or mobile design
    • Demonstrated ability to design for multiple audience types
    • Clear communication and ability to self-manage work with input from client
Structure and next steps: We are open to contract/project-based arrangements, or to a part-time employment agreement. Contract-to-hire is also an option.

All interested candidates should include their portfolio, availability, and type of arrangement(s) they prefer. For contract work, please provide your hourly rate and an estimated number of hours for completing the immediate deliverables. We are open to a retainer or project-based model.

About Marigold
Marigold Health exists to give every person with a mental health or substance use condition a place to feel heard.  We have designed an asynchronous-first health program where people interested in recovery support each other. We believe peers, individuals in recovery themselves who have received training to support others, can empower and engage those least likely to interact with current forms of care.
Marigold Health is an early-stage, rapidly growing startup providing services for a range of community based mental health and substance use treatment providers as well as national health insurers.  We collaborate with eminent investigators at Brown University and Johns Hopkins and have been publicly recognized by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and the American Psychiatric Association.
Our program is a combination of 1-1 coaching and 24/7 anonymous chat support groups accessed over phone, SMS, and app/web. On the backend, proprietary natural language processing tools scale our peer workforce by augmenting group moderation, automating patient outreach, and sending sentiment-based “alerts” to coordinate care with other providers. Following strong results from our first clinical studies, we are entering a period of rapid growth, and expect to expand from 2 states today to 12 by this time next year.
Our core values are authenticity, candor, and ambition. Inclusion is at the core of what we do. We’re working to bring care to the most underserved and stigmatized patients. We actively welcome applicants from a wealth of different backgrounds (including but not limited to race, gender, educational background, and sexual orientation). We must have diversity on our team and in our mindsets to be successful in moving the needle on the deeply entrenched and systematic challenges we face.
Marigold Health is an equal opportunity employer.
