Position Summary
As a QA Engineer at Mashgin, you'll directly impact the lifeline of the business by maintaining a high bar for quality of our A.I. powered self checkout kiosks. You have a passion for ensuring the customer has an excellent experience with our product and you are detail oriented when thinking about a user's experience with Mashgin. You'll own major features and will be working closely with different disciplines across the company. You'll be responsible for testing our new computer vision models, integrations with 3rd party peripherals such as cash machines, testing various different payment devices and payment forms, and more. If you're interested in ensuring that a user's experience is seamless from beginning to end, then this role is for you!

You will be required to be working from our office headquartered in Palo Alto, CA at least 2 days a week.

You Will Be

    • Owning new feature and product quality through inception, implementation, and launch
    • Defining test strategies and building test plans for new features as well as improvising on existing test plans for feature updates
    • Leading end to end test automation efforts across the product teams to achieve high velocity, high quality releases
    • Owning the communication and collaboration with multiple stakeholders like Engineering Leads, Product Managers, Software Engineers and Support
    • Running test cases on our kiosk hardware and finding creative ways to test and find bugs or places where the experience may break

Minimum Qualifications

    • 6+ years relevant QA experience in a hardware and software environment
    • B.S. or higher in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience)
    • Strong quality sense and experience working closely with client development teams
    • Excellent communication skills and passion for debugging technical problems
    • Experience automating end to end UI tests
    • Experience in championing customer feedback and bringing it to the attention of relevant teams

Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in a fast-paced work environment, shipping quality code quickly and iterating
    • Experience ensuring a consistent user experience across different platforms
    • Experience with programming in Python

$135,000 - $185,000 a year
For roles based in Palo Alto, CA, the overall market range for Mashgin is typically $135,000 - $185,000 USD annually. Note that total compensation for this position will be determined by candidate’s relevant qualifications, work experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
