The Match Growth & Revenue team is looking for a Quantitative Analyst to join their newly formed Data Science pod. This new position is an exciting opportunity to apply insights and identify wins across our portfolio of brands (including Match, OKCupid, and PlentyOfFish). The role will drive tangible business impact through the analysis of test results and ecosystem trends, collaboration with our Product and Development groups, and quantitative research on how our users find love.

When it comes to dating, the connection starts online, but the real magic happens once you meet in real life (IRL).  We think the same is true for doing our best work so we work together IRL in our Dallas office 2 days/week. 

How You'll Make An Impact:

    • Liaise with individual brands to understand their business models, track ecosystem trends, and identify opportunities across the portfolio
    • Conceive and conduct quantitative research to better understand user behavior and inform future initiatives
    • Collaborate with other teams, including Product and Development, to shepherd projects from ideation to delivery
    • Propose and design tests for discounting, merchandising, and pricing, with a focus on cross-brand applicability
    • Monitor AB tests, including identifying opportunities for segmentation and iteration, and modelling the long-term ecosystem and revenue impacts. 
    • Improve consistency and efficiency of internal querying, reporting, and dashboarding processes.

We Could Be A Match If:

    • You have 3+ years of experience in a role related to business analytics or product analytics
    • You are proficient in SQL (MSSQL and/or Redshift preferred)
    • You are proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Drive apps, especially Excel/Sheets
    • You are proficient in statistical software such as R or Python
    • You have a sound understanding of statistics and modelling techniques
    • You have the ability to work collaboratively on a diverse team, featuring colleagues of different backgrounds, specialties, and levels of technical knowledge
    • You have a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent knowledge) or higher in business, economics, mathematics, quantitative social sciences, statistics, or related field
