Affinity is a division of Match Group (https://mtch.com/) that drives our fastest-growing dating products. Every month, millions of singles come to our Affinity apps like BLK, Chispa, Upward, Yuzu and Stir, to make great connections that embrace our users' sense of community.

We're looking for a Lead Product Designer to spearhead our design team, bringing fresh, user-centric ideas to life in our apps. Your creative vision and leadership will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our apps and influencing how users connect and find love online. You will be in charge of a talented team of designers, guiding the product's design from conception to launch.

This hybrid position is based in Dallas or NYC, where you will work out of the office 3 days a week

How you'll make an impact:

    • Lead and mentor a team of designers, fostering a collaborative, inspiring, and high-performance team environment.
    • Develop and execute the product design strategy, ensuring it aligns with the company's business goals and user needs.
    • Oversee the design process from user research and concept development to final implementation, ensuring high-quality design solutions.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and ensure designs meet technical constraints and business objectives.
    • Advocate for user-centered design principles and ensure the product consistently delivers a superior user experience.
    • Utilize data and user feedback to inform and validate design decisions, and continuously iterate to enhance user satisfaction.
    • Present design concepts and prototypes to stakeholders, articulating design decisions and gathering feedback to refine the product design.
    • Be hands-on and responsible for design direction and execution as needed

We could be a match if:

    • You bring 5+ years of experience in product design, with a proven track record of successful UI/UX design projects.
    • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role, managing or mentoring designers.
    • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in design thinking, user-centered design processes, and visual design skills.
    • Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Illustrator) and knowledge of prototyping tools (e.g., Figma Prototypes, After Effects, ProtoPie, Rive).
    • Experience with user research methodologies and incorporating user feedback into design decisions.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
    • Knowledge of the dating industry or experience designing for social/dating platforms is a plus.
    • Knowledge of Design systems is a plus.
$165,000 - $175,000 a year
Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary range is reflective of a position based in either Dallas, TX or NYC, NY. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
