PR & Communications internship

Berlin, Germany
Tinder – Communications /
Internship /
Hybrid
Where you’ll work:
This is a hybrid role and requires in-office collaboration three days per week. This position is located in Berlin, Germany

The role:

    • We are looking for a talented intern to join Tinder communications in Germany - whether you are close to graduation or just need to close your study with an internship. This is a 6 month placement due to start as soon as possible. We’re not after the average PR student/graduate - we want someone who GETS communications. Who has a passion for it and who wants to learn. And who wants to kick off their career at one of the most dynamic, fast moving brands out there.
    • German is your mother tongue, but you are also fluent in English and you are familiar with Google Docs, Word & Excel.
    • You’ll need to bring your A game - ideally studying Public Relations or Media Economics! You have a very good understanding of the German media with a focus on Gen Z media outlets (you consume media like no other) and know your TikTok from your Insta and Snap.
    • You’ll bring a background in public relations and communications (Corporate and Consumer, ideally). In addition, a deep understanding of the cultural nuances among youth culture - you know how Gen Z think and what will spark their attention.
    • You’ll be a natural storyteller and wordsmith, knowing what makes news and what doesn’t.
    • You bring a positive can-do attitude and already first project management skills to strategize and execute communications campaigns. You will find an environment  to learn fast and show initiative.
    • You’ll naturally have a passion for Tinder (i.e. your Tinder profile will be on fire and not a ghosting in sight). You’re a self-starter and rise to any challenge - where you’ll be happy managing several projects at once, all done with the highest of detail.
    • You can´t wait to join a group of seasoned comms professionals to help create and develop the story of Tinder today - the company, product and brand? You will work directly with the Senior Communications manager DACH and you’ll be part of the EMEA comms team and the Global Communications team based in LA - surrounded by industry experts at the top of their game. This role requires strong cross-functional interactions with teams based across Europe and in the US.

In this role you will:

    • Be the voice of our audience.
    • Assist the Tinder Communications team in Germany with planning, execution and analysis of  campaigns.
    • Bring your own ideas to the table and bring them to life.
    • Research and monitor trends within dating, app marketing and Gen Z culture and how this could enhance our communication strategy.
    • Work on a personal project throughout the year, and present your unique ideas and perspective on Tinder to senior leadership.
    • Communicate with Tinder’s agencies and Tinder employees across the world.
    • General admin work supporting the German team.
