The Role
Tinder is on a mission to spark connections around the world. As part of this mission, we’re looking for a Director of Product to lead the Chat team, responsible for the post-match user experience.

This role will shape how matched users interact and move toward meaningful conversations and real-life connections. Areas of ownership include the “It’s a Match” screen, Match List, Chat, Post-Match Profile, and select Trust & Safety features like “Are You Sure” and “Does This Bother You.” This is a highly strategic and visible role that will define the long-term vision for Tinder’s post-match experience while also driving execution across key product surfaces.

Where You’ll Work
This is a hybrid role requiring in-office collaboration three days per week in Los Angeles, CA.

In this role, you will:

    • Lead product strategy, execution, and roadmap development for Tinder’s post-match surfaces.
    • Drive innovation in how matches transition into conversations and real-world dates.
    • Define the long-term product vision in partnership with cross-functional leads across design, engineering, analytics, and Trust & Safety.
    • Champion high-quality delivery of impactful, user-centered features that enhance safety and deepen engagement.
    • Manage and mentor PMs, contributing to team culture and development.
    • Navigate technical and organizational complexity with pragmatism, clarity, and decisiveness.
    • Align the Chat team’s work to company-wide priorities and metrics.

You'll need:

    • 8+ years of product management experience, including leadership roles in high-growth consumer tech.
    • A strong track record of building and scaling consumer-facing products; experience in consumer social is a strong plus.
    • Proven success delivering mobile-first experiences with high user engagement and UX quality.
    • Experience leading cross-functional teams through ambiguity and high-stakes execution.
    • Strong product instincts and the ability to balance strategic vision with executional detail.
    • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence across teams and levels.
    • Demonstrated ability to drive business outcomes, not just deliver features—with metrics to support your impact.

$216,000 - $255,000 a year
The salary range for this position is $216,000 - $255,000.  Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary range is reflective of a position based in Los Angeles, CA. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
