About the Role:

Matterport is looking for an exceptional revenue leader to lead and inspire top tier sales professionals.  We are seeking a Director, Sales - Residential Real Estate (RRE) Sales who will bring the vision, strategy, and leadership to grow the RRE business. The ideal candidate has a rich understanding of the real estate industry and has the right balance of strategic thinking, business instincts, and leadership ethos to inspire and develop a high performance team of world class sales professionals. This person understands how to deliver valuable insights and services to a wide array of real estate personas spanning resale, rentals, property management, and new construction. In this role, this person will drive adoption of Matterport software-as-a-service (SaaS) and visual marketing services for residential real estate. With a proven track record of success as a revenue leader, the candidate must deliver on bookings targets, be fluent in the latest market trends, and have the financial acumen to manage to a performant P&L.

What you will do:

    • Lead, inspire, and mentor a RRE sales team to successfully achieve revenue results to grow the adoption of Matterport services in US real estate.
    • Oversee the management and growth of large scale, strategic residential real estate accounts by implementing account plans and conducting executive reviews with key customer stakeholders. 
    • Build and own the revenue generating mechanism to drive consistent top-line revenue through signing new customers and providing top tier account management to yield service utilization and adoption. 
    • Manage and accurately forecast sales revenue and pipeline on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis. 
    • Leverage cross functional teams within solutions engineering, customer success, marketing, etc to maximize opportunities with customers and prospects.
    • Represent the voice of the customer to right-size product and messaging to resonate with RRE customers. 
    • Work closely with business development to identify opportunities with industry bodies (MLSes, Associations, Platforms, Tech Partners) to scale reach and impact, and create engagement opportunities that are additive to the RRE sales efforts.
    • Build an operational cadence, using monthly/quarterly business reviews to convey the state of the RRE business  with Service and Revenue leaders, for the Matterport Executive Leadership Team to surface sales progress, highlight insights, risks and threats, and asks of the leadership team. 

Who you are:

    • 12+ years of revenue driving experience in a combination of sales management, sales and strategy.
    • Proven leader who hires the best and is willing to invest in building talent and investing in people development.
    • Extensive understanding of the US residential real estate market and the logos and personas who are key to the long-term success of Matterport. 
    • Demonstrated track record in building and scaling highly successful revenue programs and organizations. 
    • Sound financial literacy and good judgment for margin optimization.
    • RRE Photography experience a plus. 
    • Travel required up to 50% of the time

      The US salary range for this full time position is 275k - 350k OTE (on target earnings) + equity and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. Th range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire on target earnings for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training.
