 THE ROLE

The IT Business Applications Manager is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and operations of the Matterport business applications stack. You are the in-house expert, responsible for architecting, implementing and managing processes and systems.  You are hands-on and detail-oriented, as you will interact with various depts and external groups.  Be able to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, developing processes and implementing systems from scratch.   

Prior experience with a hardware business including inventory and supply chain, order fulfillment and logistics and their associated workflows and system configuration with various software applications is a plus. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Accountable for developing, managing, implementing, and monitoring business applications, reporting, and analytics. 
    • Key contributor to the implementation of new products or business processes  
    • Acts as primary liaison and manages relationships with outside vendors or agencies to execute business application initiatives (e.g. system implementations, upgrades, etc.) to expected levels of service according to agreed-upon standards. 
    • Develops, trains and mentors staff to ensure compliance with externally committed service level standards. 
    • Manages the lifecycle of business systems and applications from implementation through end of life  
    • Regularly performs assessments not limited to system capacity, usage, adoption, security, and compatibility and develops plans to improve results and performance throughout the business as it pertains to system assessments, adoption, overall usage, compliance, and workflow. 
    • Key facilitator in developing/revising and managing compliance to company policies and procedures. 
    • Manages allocated department staff and applications budget. 
    • Accepts and performs other duties as assigned.  

QUALIFICATIONS

    • BS/BA in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science, or related field of study or equivalent years of experience. 
    • Managerial experience, including hiring, developing and conducting staff performance evaluations, etc. 
    • Experience with vendor management experience including contract negotiation, SLA development, performance monitoring, and budgetary management. 
    • 5+ years of experience working within application management 
    • 5+ years of experience implementing or overseeing large software packages. 
    • Must have excellent analytic, problem solving, project management, product management, and organizational skills. 
    • Ability to demonstrate professionalism, good judgment, and tact when dealing with sensitive and confidential issues. 
    • Proven history of achieving or exceeding organizational IT/IS goals.
