About the Role:

Matterport is looking for an enthusiastic Senior Software Engineer to join our 3D Experiences team. You’ll be responsible for building user interfaces for our 3D model viewing and editing applications, which get more than 100 million views a month. The ideal candidate is a technology leader with a strong web UI development skill set. #LI-Remote

What you will do:

    • Deliver responsive user interfaces utilizing React, Typescript, Three.js and WebGL.
    • Work with a cross-functional teams of product managers, designers, and engineers to add new features to our existing applications
    • Work closely with QA and customer support to triage issues and maintain current features.
    • Champion new optimizations, design patterns, and best-practices for our codebase. 
    • Create working prototypes for new concepts, ideas, or platforms we want to explore
    • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code and support teammates through comprehensive code reviews.
    • Implement and maintain unit tests
    • Keep up-to-date with new technologies and programming languages related to React development

Who you are:

    • 5+ years of experience designing and building user-friendly, fast web applications
    • Strong demonstrated proficiency working with React, Typescript, HTML and CSS.
    • Passionate about front-end consistency, best practices, and attentive to details.
    • Team-oriented, experienced supporting teammates through peer review and releasing software in a team environment with multiple work streams.
    • Experience with git, webpack, jest, lint, and jenkins in a modern test-driven CI environment.
    • Familiarity with 3D concepts and capabilities to solve problems within that space.  Bonus for experience working with Three.js.
    • Experience with building web applications with a focus on mobile responsiveness.

      The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,900 to $200,200 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
