Join MAX Surgical Specialty Management, an innovative leader in the healthcare industry, as we embark on an exhilarating journey of growth and expansion!  We are seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join our Revenue Cycle Management Team as a of Revenue Cycle Manager – Denial Management.    

What You'll Do: 

The Revenue Cycle Manager – Denial Management oversees denial posting and follow-up activities within the organization’s revenue cycle, with the goal of maximizing cash flow while maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Working collaboratively with staff, the manager supports daily revenue cycle operations, analyzes denial trends, develops written procedures, and provides training to help build and implement a cross-functional revenue cycle team.  

The successful candidate will be able to: 

-Monitor denial management performance, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions for
outstanding claims 
-Ensure timely follow-up & posting on denied claims, implementing strategies to reduce denials and increase
collections 
-Develop standard operating procedures for denial management 
-Train and educate Denial Management team on best practices for billing, AR follow-up, documentation, and
revenue integrity 
-Work with internal teams to ensure proper documentation and coding practices to support claims
submission 
-Coordinate all deliverables associated with the month end close process, conducting variance analysis   
-Develop and implement strategies to improve Denial Management processes and increase efficiency 
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize team performance and enhance processes 
-Provide leadership and direction to the Denials Management Follow-up team 
-Identify and resolve billing discrepancies and denials, working closely with insurance carriers, practices and
patients to facilitate prompt payment 
-Develop and maintain relationships with insurance payers, negotiating payment terms and resolving
escalated billing issues as needed 
-Implement quality improvement initiatives for the Denials Management Team 
-Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as DSO, denial rates, AR aging, and net
collections 
-Collaborate with the Director of Finance on operating policies, AR collectability, refunds, and bad debts 
-Review and approve Insurance and patient refunds 
-Attend monthly Surgeon AR review meetings with Senior Director of RCM and CFO 
-Implement targeted projects as directed by Senior Director of RCM 
-Work with offshore team on payment posting discrepancies and provide ongoing education to offshore
team 
-Monitor offshore team’s performance and daily payment posting across all practices 
-Performs any and all other duties as assigned 

What You’ll Bring: 

-Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field—or
minimum of 10 years in healthcare management 
-5+ years of hands-on experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, with a proven track record of
optimizing processes 
-Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications as well as medical office software 
-Proven experience in healthcare billing 
-Sound knowledge of health insurance providers 
-Strong interpersonal and organizational skills 
-Excellent customer service skills 
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
