MaxMind (www.maxmind.com) is looking for a talented Accounts Receivable/Payable Specialist to join our team. We help protect thousands of companies worldwide from fraud, screening over three billion online transactions each year, and we provide IP intelligence data to thousands more. You will play an important role supporting the company’s financial operations and ensuring that transactions are processed accurately and on time.
This is a full time remote position.

The Position Overview
Do you have accounts receivable/payable, organizational, and communication skills and are ready to collaborate with others to ensure our finances are up to date? Are you motivated and detail oriented to handle communication regarding payments with customers from all across the world? Will you be able to work closely with various departments such as sales, business development, and operations?
As a MaxMind Accounts Receivable/Payable Specialist, you will partake in a variety of daily tasks such as the following:
- Acting as a bridge between the Business Development, Operations, and Accounting departments, communicating clearly between each
- Helping onboard customers and setting up their billing
- Regularly reviewing and following up on customer purchase orders
- Processing invoice requests and invoicing retroactively billed customers
- Processing and sending renewal quotes
- Answering billing-related questions from customers
- Keeping track of and responding to tax exemptions
- Reviewing and processing royalty reports
- Managing our collections process, including submitting customers to collection agencies
- Processing chargebacks and refund requests
- Scheduling vendor payments
- Writing up process documentation for necessary tasks
- Performing internal audits to check for missing billings
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable/Payable roles
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and solid problem-solving skills
- Positive team player
- Strong customer service skills
- Ready to learn new things
- Can self manage tasks in a remote environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate clearly with customers and other employees
Our salary range for Accounts Receivable and Payable Specialist begins at $ 60,000 CAD, with specific offers dependent upon skills and experience. See more about benefits and compensation below.

Our Interview Process
One of the first steps in our interviewing process is a homework assignment, and we will ask you for a submission so we can gain insight into your work. The following step of our interview process would be a first round interview with our hiring manager and our Operations Manager. This interview will cover questions specific to the role. Next, there would be a final interview with our HR Manager and our COO. That interview would be a more general / behavioral interview. The final step of our hiring process is reference checking.
