Discover a More Balanced Way to Work

At Health by Design, we believe in healing the healers — and that starts with creating a workplace that values your time, energy, and well-being. We’re seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our compassionate and collaborative team at our beautiful, state-of-the-art outpatient clinic in Schertz/Northeast San Antonio.

This is not your typical high-volume clinic. As part of our Value-Based Care model, you’ll work one-on-one with each patient every 45 minutes — allowing for deeper relationships, better outcomes, and less burnout. Even better? No nights, no weekends, no overbooked schedules, and a daily clinic lunch hour closure so you can recharge mid-day.

We care for retired First Responders and their families — people who have spent their lives helping others, and now need the same in return. Join us in delivering high-quality care in a setting that prioritizes not only patient wellness but also your own.

What We Offer:
Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm schedule — no nights, no weekends
Protected lunch hour for personal time
Low patient volume, high-impact care
Supportive team culture where your voice matters
Beautiful, modern facilities — Take a virtual tour!
Competitive compensation and full benefits, including:
Health, dental, and vision insurance
401(k) with employer match
Generous paid time off
Maternity benefit
CE and licensure support

What You’ll Do:
Deliver hands-on therapy to patients referred by our Physical Therapist
Provide therapeutic exercises and functional activity support
Educate and empower patients to support their recovery
Assist in using supportive devices like crutches, canes, and prostheses
Keep accurate records and ensure a clean, safe treatment environment
Help with patient scheduling and referrals

What You’ll Bring:
Associate’s degree from an accredited PTA program
Current TX license (or ability to obtain) and CPR/BLS certification
A heart for service and a patient-first mindset
Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit
Physical stamina and a positive, encouraging attitude
