As part of Meesho's Fulfillment and Experience (F&E) team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the logistics framework to support the next billion e-commerce users in India. Our team consists of 100+ smart individuals who are analytical, first-principle problem solvers and gets excited about creating 10x impact with innovative solutions. We are reimagining logistics to meet customer expectations of affordability and rapid delivery. About the Role
WaaS - Warehousing as a Service - Meesho is a pure play marketplace driven business in which we don’t buy inventory or give preferential treatment to select vendors. We are on a mission to democratize ecommerce in India. As a next step to that - we are building a warehousing platform which will give access to warehousing options for our sellers so that they can deliver products cheaper, faster to our consumers. It is enabling and giving a level playing field to all sellers so that they can compete with large sellers/brands. You are expected to identify opportunities, problems and structural solutions which will make this business successful at scale. Anything and everything required to make this business successful is under your purview.
Building intelligence to decide which products to bring in a warehouse, which sellers to pitch, where warehouses should be opened, Managing PnL, driving operational excellence in warehouse management, establishing robust Warehouse Control Tower metrics, generating demand and trust markers for warehouses. Building a seller panel to understand business growth due to WaaS.
What will you do
- Lead warehousing charter for Meesho. Lead team of 6-10 people
- Build first ever marketplace driven warehousing model
- Reduce/remove customer complaints about Meesho takes ages to deliver product by empowering sellers and brands to store goods closer to customer and deliver fast.
- Define / redefine - Strategy, business model, pricing, value proposition for WaaS
- Understanding existing seller pain points, constraints and building strong seller side value proposition
- Working closely with DS team to build logic that will help sellers understanding which product, how much quantity to move to which warehouse location
- Working closely with product team to build seller side visibility on benefits, costs, warehouse inventory status etc
- Setting up control tower and strong process excellence for seller acquisition and retention in program
- B2B supply chain in marketplace setup Identifying and getting vendors onboarded, setting up SOPs and setting up governance to ensure people adhere to SOPs
- Getting B2B flow automated on seller panel with tech and product
- Identifying warehouse locations, partners to work with. Negotiating warehouse rate cards
- Setting up a warehousing governance mechanism. Setting up a control tower.
- Problem solving and helping warehousing Ops team uncover new opportunities
- Identifying various problems for users which warehousing can solve
- Working with demand team to generate demand for warehousing products
- Creating strong user pull value proposition for warehousing products
- Anything and everything which can grow orders from warehouse
- Identify opportunities
- Problem solving to identify various consolidation opportunities
- Working with supply chain team to understand feasibility of these opportunities
- Relative prioritization among all opportunities
- Designing supply chain changes to capture this opportunity
- Build & Pilot
- Working with product, tech and onground Ops team to build and pilot 0-1 stage solutions
- Identifying success metric for pilot - doing various iterations to ensure it achieves PMF
- Scale up
- Scaling up the solution and moving to next opportunity

You will be expected to :
What you will need
- B.Tech OR MBA from a premium college
- 7-9 years of experience, in a Strategy & Ops /Management consulting background
- Ability to handle both, strategy formulation and implementation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsSolid project management skills: ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional partners, prioritize high-impact activities, and keep complex projects moving forward.
- Strong growth track record, with samples and results of past campaigns
- Outstanding written and spoken communication skills and organizational ability
- Demonstrate Meesho Mantra’s from past experience and during conversations with us.
