Your Role
Megaport is experiencing strong growth across Southern Europe, and we’re looking for driven individuals who want to contribute to that momentum — particularly by helping us expand our presence in the Italian market. In this role, you’ll build your reputation as an expert in SDN, cloud interconnection, and SD-WAN, while playing a key role in shaping how Italian enterprises connect to digital infrastructure.

Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, Southern Europe, you will be responsible for growing both direct and indirect business relationships in Italy by promoting and selling Megaport’s differentiated value proposition. This is a high-impact individual contributor role — ideal for someone who is excited by the opportunity to influence outcomes, drive growth, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and agile sales environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

    • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities through proactive prospecting across your assigned territory
    • Build and manage targeted enterprise engagement programs using available sales and marketing resources
    • Research and analyse customer business drivers, strategic priorities, and key stakeholders to inform account strategies
    • Leverage market insights to help shape go-to-market plans in collaboration with sales leadership and marketing
    • Partner with Sales Management, Solutions Architects, and Marketing to develop and execute campaigns that drive engagement and demand
    • Support sales and pre-sales engagements to ensure Megaport’s value proposition and go-to-market approach are consistently delivered
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to contribute to solution design during the pre-sales process, ensuring alignment with customer needs
    • Identify, onboard, and scale high-potential channel partners to grow new and existing revenue across the Italian market
    • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with partners by demonstrating deep understanding of their business models
    • Engage in technical conversations with partners and support them in delivering and positioning complex solution designs
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Megaport’s solutions and be confident in discussing technical details with customers, prospects, and partners

What We Are Looking For

    • Self-motivated and results-driven, with strong prospecting, qualification, and closing capabilities
    • Solid knowledge of the Italian IT ecosystem, including key players and industry trends
    • Experience in both direct and channel sales, particularly in ‘as-a-service’ or network infrastructure environments
    • Proven ability to navigate complex sales engagements with cross-functional stakeholders and partner teams
    • Established partner network in Italy and demonstrated ability to engage at executive level with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
    • Ability to articulate technical concepts in networking, cloud connectivity, and virtual private networking
    • Strong consultative selling skills with a consistent record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals
    • Proficient in sales forecasting and pipeline management with high accuracy
    • Entrepreneurial mindset — adaptable, quick to learn, and comfortable working in fast-paced environments
    • Comfortable operating in a remote, globally distributed team with the flexibility to travel up to 40% of the time
    • Native Italian speaker with professional-level English proficiency
