As a Speech-Language Pathologist with The Menta Group, you will work with students to provide speech-language assistance in accordance with the students’ IEP’s.
Part-Time, Hourly.
Flexible on days worked as long as it's M-F, during school hours

Responsibilities

    • Supervise students, in groups and individually, monitoring behavior to ensure that it aligns with programmatic expectations.
    • Provide educational direction and support for students at times of confusion, frustration & emotional upset.
    • Develop and update IEP goals and progress reports for student caseload.
    • Provide Speech-Language related service minutes as dictated on the IEP.
    • Maintain accurate related service logs updated weekly.
    • Work 2 total days per week during work hours (can be flexible).
    • Compensated Intrastate Travel Required

Qualifications

    • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA accredited university program.
    • Current Speech-Language Pathology license from IDFPR 
    • Clinical Competency Certification (CCC) preferred, but Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) welcomed.

About Menta Academy Midway

Menta Academy Midway promotes independence in students by creating a learning environment that fosters individualization and planning. The program provides support for English and non-English speaking children with disabilities by focusing on the whole child in their native language. Collaborative and data-based problem-solving approaches are utilized to develop appropriate interventions and progress monitoring.

The classrooms integrate evidence-based strategies from the Structured Teaching Model developed by Division TEACCH, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Physical structure, visual schedules, work systems, communication systems, and sensory supports are thoughtfully integrated to optimize student success.

Midway serves students in grades K-12 and those transitioning from school to life ages 18-21. Disabilities served include autism, emotional disabilities, specific learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, other health impairments, traumatic brain injury, and multiple disabilities.
