About the role

We are looking to hire a motivated individual with strong and proven leadership skills, technical knowledge or background, and a desire to step into a key role in one of the biggest software engineering organizations in Europe. As a Line Manager for BICS, you will be integral to our team, combining people management, technological expertise, and strategic insight. This is a unique career opportunity to be a Leader in one of the biggest software engineering companies in Bulgaria and help grow one of our biggest accounts while building upon 20 years of delivery excellence and collaborating with the most capable Technical Leadership Team in Bulgaria. This position has a seat on the Management Team with a career path towards Director Level. 

Responsibilities

    • Overseeing and coaching a multi-functional portfolio of teams (app. 40+ people)
    • Contribute to establishing the governance and enhancing the processes between the company and the customer 
    • Overseeing the processes and specifics of how the teams reach the customer’s objectives in close alignment with Project managers and BICS Account manager  
    • Ensures portfolio’s performance, development, and efficiency 
    • Managing the motivation and performance of people, giving regular feedback 
    • Competence development and career progression of employees 
    • Attracts new employees to be able to fulfil project needs, develops recruitment strategies 
    • Responsible for onboarding and integration of newcomers  
    • Ensures compliance with customer expectations, handles escalations 
    • Promotes customer-centric culture 
    • Works closely with BICS account manager to enable growth of the BICS business in Bulgaria 
    • Provide regular and ad hoc analysis, reports, and metrics to key stakeholders 

Requirements

    • Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills 
    • Corresponding people management experience is vital (you may previously hold the following positions: Project Coordinator, Delivery Manager, Team Leader, Account Manager, Project Manager, HR people partner and other relevant functions) 
    • 5+ years of experience in the international corporate environment 
    • Have a strong drive combined with a proactive way of working 
    • Have networking skills, openness to cooperation and negotiation with different business stakeholders, and foster cooperative relationships
    • Have a strong ability to develop concepts, presentation materials, etc. 
    • Have willingness to undertake new challenges 
    • Have fluent English 

A significant advantage would be
