About the role

We are looking to hire a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join an innovative project in the healthcare domain for one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. Operating at the intersection of Site Reliability Engineering and Cloud & DevOps, you'll enhance application reliability and performance through automation. Your role involves co-owning critical production service designs and driving reliability improvements.

The seasoned experts in our cloud & DevOps team provide secure, flexible, and time-efficient solutions to our clients, whether shortening the development runway, modernizing legacy systems, or taking a more cost-effective approach to technology with the cloud. Our cloud & DevOps team's projects are HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or SOC2 compliant and are based on a well-architected framework focusing on security, sustainability, and scalability.

Responsibilities

    • Develop strategic plans and roadmaps for system and infrastructure evolution, aligning with business objectives
    • Co-own critical system architecture designs, ensuring resilience, scalability, and fault tolerance
    • Utilize monitoring and telemetry data to identify reliability challenges and devise solutions to enhance them
    • Implement best practices for incident management and drive continuous improvement in incident response processes
    • Analyze performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations for efficient workload handling
    • Consult for CI/CD practices and automation for rapid and reliable software delivery, designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
    • Design and implement security controls and mechanisms to protect systems and data, ensuring compliance with standards
    • Maintain relationships with vendors and partners, evaluate technology solutions, and manage vendor contracts effectively
    • Provide technical guidance and direction across various domains, including systems engineering, networking, security, and cloud computing

Requirements

    • 4+ years of experience in an Infrastructure, SRE, DevOps, CloudOps role
    • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, .Net, NodeJS, or Go, along with automation scripting experience in tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar
    • Experience with at least one cloud technology, particularly AWS, Compute/Containers, or Storage
    • Deep understanding of system architecture principles, including distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native architectures
    • Advanced technical skills across multiple domains such as systems engineering, networking, security, and cloud computing
    • Extensive experience in incident management, including leading incident response teams
    • Distributed monitoring experience including logging, metrics, tracing, etc.
    • Ability to analyze problems quickly and find suitable solutions based on available resources
    • Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts and influence decision-making
    • Proficient in English
